Markfield Parish Council wanted to replace some tired grassland at the community's popular skate park with hard-wearing asphalting.

JK Aspalt was commissioned to provide the full construction, and the tarmac pathways and areas now offer easier access for the young people to enjoy the skateboard ramps.

The finished surface was a 6mm wearing course, with footpaths finished in black and the rest of the area finished in a red wearing course.

This project was completed ahead of schedule in a total project window of three days from start to finish. The Council is more than happy with the results
